(Assistant) Interior Designer
Hong Kong
Responsibilities:
- Design & Documentation: Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop concept designs, design strategies, and detailed drawings for design documentation and presentation work.
- Project Portfolio: Manage a wide range of sectors—including mixed-use, retail, office, clubhouse, and airport projects—across the Asia Pacific for some of the world’s leading developers.
- Creative Execution: Provide innovative and creative solutions for interior design projects, guiding them from initial concept through to detailed design.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Establish and develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors.
- Site Coordination: Assist with site inspections and coordinate with contractors to ensure design intent is met. (Note: Hands-on site experience is highly preferred and considered a strong advantage for the Interior Designer role).
- General Support: Support other ad-hoc design tasks and project requirements as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in Interior Design. A strong background in hospitality or retail is highly advantageous. (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; candidates with more experience will be considered for the Interior Designer role).
- Technical Software: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, Rhino, or alternative 3D software.
- AI Proficiency: Proficiency in utilizing AI tools and emerging technologies for design generation and workflow optimization.
- Design Sensibility: A keen eye for aesthetics and detail, coupled with a creative and energetic approach to problem-solving.
- Team Dynamics: A good team player who is detail-minded and proactive. Must be open-minded, resilient, and eager to learn.
- Communication: A clear communicator who expresses ideas effectively and collaborates closely with team members.
- Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Chinese.
