CAN Wins Asia Pacific Awards for Wide Horizon Chongqing TOD

CAN is proud to announce that Wide Horizon Chongqing TOD has been named as #Winner at the 2022 Asia Pacific Property Awards – the most acclaimed industry award throughout the region! CAN is delivering masterplanning and architectural design for the project.

CAN’s Director Ada Ng and Senior Architectural Designer Anthony Stott attended the gala ceremony on 23 June at Sheraton Grand London Park Lane and received the award. CAN is delivering masterplanning and architectural design for the winning project which won in the #MixeduseArchitecture category. The TOD-led placemaking strategy bridges the boundaries of ecology and arts, creating an exemplary new cityscape in the region.

The International Property Awards celebrates the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property & real estate industry. The projects are judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts. Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability.

We break the conventions of TOD development by presenting an optimum TOP (Transit Oriented Place-making), combing the inland gateway with culture, nature, and art to create a more livable integrated district,” shared Stephen Chow, Managing Director at CAN.

Wide Horizon Chongqing TOD is located in Chongqing Yuelai Eco-City, a strategic zone of Liangjiang New Area, which is the first national-level opening up area in inland China. CAN is delivering the masterplanning and architectural design for the development which consists of a retail podium, retail precinct, and office towers.

Inspired by the hilly and mountainous landscapes of Chongqing, the holistic masterplan celebrates the area’s nature, culture, and aesthetics, functioning as a nexus between the various nodes of the city. With the multi-dimensional scenes, the project is set to become an exemplary new cityscape, combining mixed-use within a matrix of landscaped, walkable, and connected public areas, where people can live, work and relax. The design breaks the conventions of TOD development by presenting an optimum TOP (Transit Oriented Place-making), combing the inland gateway with culture, nature, and art to create a more livable integrated district.
