Everbright Beijing Zhongguancun (ZGC)

The renovation work of Beijing Zhongguancun aims to transform the isolated site into a park-style commercial complex, creating a sacred landmark that incorporates art, culture, technology, and design that meets the needs of the new generation. CAN breaks standard commercial conventions and proposes a transparent, multi-level and interactive destination that creates new scenarios and experiential value in the development.

Inspired by the “green lung of the city”, the concept is a true reinterpretation of the retail-in-park / park-in-retail design. The design revitalizes Zhongguancun’s reputation as China’s Silicon Valley and provides a platform for the entire Zhongguancun Science City to showcase China’s newest technologies through different featured spaces.

Wide Horizon Chongqing TOD Development

CAN is delivering masterplanning and architectural design for Chongqing Wide Horizon TOD Development. A world-class integrated masterplan within a sustainable environment, the development will be an exemplary new cityscape, combining mixed-use within a matrix of landscaped, walkable, and connected public areas, where people can live, work, and relax.

The design creates an iconic ‘Gateway’ in the new Chongqing Yuelai District. Through a series of connecting rings, the design aims to create a sequential journey that connects visitors through the precinct retail, F&B market, shopping mall, and office. The well-designed holistic masterplan brings people together around culture, nature, and the arts, functioning as a nexus between the various nodes of the city.

Large-scale Airport Terminal Renovation Project

The definition of an airport has evolved so much that it’s no longer just a transportation hub but also becomes a not-to-be-missed destination providing a remarkable and diversified experience. As a gateway to an international city, Terminal 1 is given a brand-new image and ambiance by providing a welcoming and refreshing design that would grant a new life to the airport.

The people-oriented design strategically explores the implementation of value-added services, innovative technologies for boarding procedures, and stress-relieving design elements with greenery. With the experience-led approach, the design reflects the vibrancy of Guangzhou while enhancing the travel experience to create an iconic lifestyle destination. The design transforms Terminal 1 into a vibrant and integrated transport gateway in the region.

Thank you to MUSE Design Awards for the recognition and congratulations to our multi-disciplinary team for this collective success.
