CAN reveals competition design for New Airport Satellite Terminal in China. The interior design and planning aim to provide a seamless travel experience with a sense of place, creating a memorable journey for the passenger.

The design fully draws on the advanced experience of large airports at home and abroad to create a terminal building full of creative attractions and intelligent convenience. From the MRT platform to the commercial core of the main lobby, the north-south theme plaza and the newly added leisure facilities in the corridor, different experience elements are injected into the design, which combines the characteristics of the original building and the local cultural characteristics. In addition to meeting the future development trend of the airport, the design also hopes to bring passengers a complete high-quality space experience, making the terminal a unique international satellite hall.

The scheme expressed distinctive personalities that are themed to celebrate different aspects of the city. The design is inspired by the local spirit and culture, as well as the geographic and humanistic characteristics of the surrounding context. The design of the terminal building inherits the local cultural and artistic connotation, and the green ecological landscape design concept also injects new elements into the terminal building. The spatial design of the airport fully considers how to make visitors feel comfortable and seamlessly connect various areas from the details to create a unique spatial pattern and airport travel experience. The design focuses on stress-free flight and exciting experience as the development focus of the future airport, the scheme is set to develop into an all-round new landmark in addition to the basic air traffic hub functions.
